Multivariant Non-failure Analysis via Standard Abstract Interpretation
Non-failure analysis aims at inferring that predicate calls in a program will never fail. This type of information has many applications in functional/logic programming. It is essential for determining lower bounds on the computational cost of calls, useful in the context of program parallelization, instrumental in partial evaluation and other program transformations, and has also been used in ...
متن کاملSolving integral and differential equations by the aid of non-uniform Haar wavelets
A modification of the Haar wavelet method, for which the stepsize of the argument is variable, is proposed. To establish the efficiency of the method three test problems, for which exact solution is known, are considered. Computer simulations show clear preference of the suggested method compared with the Haar wavelet method of a constant stepsize. 2007 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
متن کاملEmergence of the Haar measure in the standard functional integral representation of the Yang-Mills partition function
The conventional path integral expression for the Yang-Mills transition amplitude with flat measure and gauge-fixing built in via the Faddeev-Popov method has been claimed to fall short of guaranteeing gauge invariance in the nonperturbative regime. We show, however, that it yields the gauge invariant partition function where the projection onto gauge invariant wave functions is explicitly perf...
متن کاملSolving fractional integral equations by the Haar wavelet method
Haar wavelets for the solution of fractional integral equations are applied. Fractional Vol-terra and Fredholm integral equations are considered. The proposed method also is used for analysing fractional harmonic vibrations. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by three numerical examples. Although the conception of the fractional derivatives was introduced already in the middle of the ...
متن کاملSolution of nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equations via a collocation method and rationalized Haar functions
Rationalized Haar functions are developed to approximate the solution of the nonlinear Volterra–Fredholm–Hammerstein integral equations. The properties of rationalized Haar functions are first presented. These properties together with the Newton–Cotes nodes and Newton–Cotes integration method are then utilized to reduce the solution of Volterra–Fredholm–Hammerstein integral equations to the sol...
